Horticulture Hints: 1. Specimens should be at their best, neither in bud nor past maturity. They should have good color, foliage, and a good stance on a strong stem.
2. Stems should be straight—about 12” in length when possible—no more than 24”.
3. Foliage should be clean—dusty, spotted or mutilated foliage would be counted against exhibitor.
4. Plants should not be drawn, leggy, or diseased.
5. Each specimen must be correctly named on the outside of a folded 3 X 5 card; your name inside.
6. Display in a 12 oz. soft drink bottle.
7. All specimens must be grown by the exhibitor and have been in her possession not less than three (3) months.
8. Preferences in judging will be given to correctly named and labeled specimens.
9. Members are encouraged to bring at least one horticulture specimen each month.
10. Specimens should be placed in their correct locations before the meeting. Late entries will not be accepted.
